This two characters first came to idea and rose when the actors Nathan Lane and Ernie Sabella went to try out for the voices of the hyenas for the animated film of The Lion King. When the director saw how well this two actors worked together he decided to put this two actors as timon and pumbaa an idea brought by Jonathan Roberts (the creator of Timon and Pumbaa).
Jonathan Roberts was the creator of Timon and Pumbaa . Jonathan Roberts was a writer that wrote The Lion King, Monsters inc, and James and the Giant peach. While making the LIon King he came up with the idea of Timon and Pumbaa who after their appearance of the film The Lion King they became an original show. Called Timon and Pumbaa.
This characters first appeared in the story of The Lion King when timon the meerkat and pumba the warthog were passing bye a lake and find this small lion called simba. They decided to save his life after they saw the cub was in poor condition who had been running from his uncle who killed his father. Timon and Pumbaa then took care of simba as their own and grew up together. They taught him the life of Hakuna Matata meaning no worries.
This characters main dialogue is to show their life of no worries. They teach this life where they just enjoy their lifes and do not worry about anything else. This both characters first came up with this life style after both Timon and Pumbaa were kicked out their colonies for big mistakes they did. Timon was kicked out because he was not guarding a door and a snake came in and stole their princess. And Pumbaa was kicked out because he couldn't do his duties good enough. When they first met they told each others stories so when they said we shouldn't worry about life anymore they came up with hakuna matata.
